BP Norge have a strong focus on minimizing gas leakages on their offshore installations.
Lexar have therefore been invited to do a study on itemized control and on/off-valves where prevention of stem leakages are the main topic. The study looks at different stem design principles on the respective valves, the usefulness of lubricating and recommended types of lubricants to be used. The outcome of the study aims at giving a better understanding of maintenance routines and frequencies of lubrication for valves in critical hydrocarbon-service.
