One of Lexar's target areas is to pass on and develop knowledge about process valves in the oil and gas industry.
In January 2007 we were awarded a contract, in participation with Aibel, to improve the valve sections of ConocoPhillips 'Technical Control Document 5060. These updates included the revising of existing sections, establishing new Valve Data Sheets where required, and implementing new sections such as Functional Specifications for Valves and Operators.
In gaining this contract, we have taken our expertise to a new level with several technical challenges being solved in close cooperation with ConocoPhillips. We have regarded this contract as a major vote of confidence, and would like to point out that 'cooperation' will always be one of Lexar's key elements in obtaining a good result in the end. Phase 1 of this job was completed in December 2007.
Lexar is per March 2008 proud to announce that ConocoPhillips wishes to continue the TCD5060 collaboration by suggesting further specification updates. First step of Phase 2 will cover the implementation of project specific scope as given by Eldfisk 2/7E, Ekofisk 2/4M and other relevant installations. Next steps will include implementation of valid North Sea Design Premises (NSDP) specifications where Lexar will adopt the NSDP-Valve Data Sheets into the new TCD5060-formats.
