The contract covers purchasing, follow-up and replacement of all solenoid valves for well control. The replacement period starts in December 2009 and the plan is to finish within shut down in 2010.
There are 50 wells in total with low pressure-, high pressure-, and ESD-solenoids being part of the total scope for replacement. When the project is finished it is anticipated that the shutdown-frequency (due to solenoids failing) on 2/4X will be drastically lowered.
