The Oselvar field is located on the Norwegian continental shelf, close to the English border and 23 kilometres from the Ula field. According to the development plan, three subsea horizontal production wells will be drilled and connected via a multi-phase pipeline to the Ula platform for further processing.
From the Chemical Injection System on the BP-operated Ula platform the tubing lines will go further down to a subsea template on Oselvar. Lexar are performing pressure drops calculations and verifications on topside tubing on the Ula platform. Some of the chemicals involved are wax, scale and corrosion inhibitors.
The pressure drop calculations and tubing size verifications are done in Tomhax software program (developed by Lexar).
